These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OutcomeOS platform at outcomeos.online and all related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Abhisek Bose ("we", "us", "OutcomeOS").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You must have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract. By signing up, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
You may not share your account with another person.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, except where caused by our error or by unauthorized access we failed to prevent.
You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@outcomeos.online.

3. The service

OutcomeOS provides:

An AI-readiness assessment ("Quiz") across multiple professional roles
A real-task simulator scored on 5 dimensions ("Simulator")
An AI-powered mentor chat ("Mentor")
Team-mode aggregation for managers ("Team")
A 4-week coached cohort with a signed Skill Passport credential on graduation ("Cohort")
Public benchmarks and a leaderboard ("Public surfaces")

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. Material reductions in features for paid subscribers will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email.

4. Subscription tiers and billing

4.1 Free tier

One quiz attempt total, full skill breakdown, public certificate URL — no credit card

4.2 Unlimited Retries — $5/month

Unlimited quiz attempts, adaptive retakes, custom-outcome quizzes, AI mentor, real-task simulator, team mode
Billed monthly. Cancel anytime — access continues until the end of the current billing period.

4.3 Cohort — $60/month

Includes everything in Unlimited Retries, plus a seat in the next quarterly cohort with live AMAs, capstone review, and a signed Skill Passport on successful graduation
Billed monthly. 12 seats per quarter; first-paid, first-seated.
7-day refund window: for the cohort plan, request a full refund within 7 days of subscribing if you haven't yet attended a live AMA or submitted a capstone.

4.4 Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe via Clerk Billing. We do not store your card details. Failed payments may pause your access until resolved. We do not offer refunds for partial-month usage unless explicitly stated above.

4.5 Price changes

We may change prices for new subscribers at any time. Existing paid subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for at least 90 days after a price change, with notice via email.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose
Submit content that infringes intellectual property, is defamatory, or violates someone else's privacy
Use the Service to train competing AI systems by scraping questions, scoring rubrics, or our hallucination "plants"
Reverse engineer our scoring algorithms, signing keys, or APIs
Share or resell your assessment access or Skill Passport credentials
Generate or submit AI-content for the cohort capstone that you pass off as solely your own work without disclosing AI assistance (the entire point is documenting how you used AI)
Attempt to manipulate the public leaderboard or benchmarks
Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages

Violation may result in immediate account termination with no refund.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you submit (capstone writeups, simulator code, mentor chat messages, custom-outcome goal text, group-chat messages).

You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

Display your content to you within the platform
Process your content through our sub-processors (Groq, MongoDB, Resend) to deliver the Service
Aggregate anonymized statistics from your content for public benchmarks (your identity is removed)
Display your assessment score on the public leaderboard with first-name + last-initial only, unless you delete your account

7. Our content and IP

The Service, including all assessment questions, the scoring rubric, the simulator tasks, the brand, and the codebase, is owned by OutcomeOS.
You may not copy, redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works from our content.
You may share screenshots of your own results, your Skill Passport, and your leaderboard rank publicly.

8. Skill Passport credential

The Skill Passport is a W3C Verifiable Credential issued only to cohort graduates who complete the capstone and receive admin approval.

The credential is cryptographically signed (Ed25519) and verifiable by anyone at /api/passport/[id]
You may share, display, embed, or include the credential on your resume, LinkedIn, GitHub, or personal site indefinitely.
We will not revoke an issued credential unless it was obtained through fraud, plagiarism, or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to rotate signing keys for security reasons. We will publish the public verification key for both old and new signatures so previously-issued credentials remain verifiable.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
Your assessment score guarantees employment, promotion, or any specific outcome
AI-generated content (mentor advice, study suggestions, simulator grading) is free from errors or hallucinations
The Service will be available in your jurisdiction

The Skill Passport is a record of completing our coached cohort. It is not an academic degree, a government-issued certification, or a guarantee of professional competence.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OutcomeOS, its operator, and its sub-processors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) USD 100 or (b) the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing hello@outcomeos.online
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, particularly Section 5 (Acceptable Use).
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
